Requesting a Service
You can order a service in any of the following ways:
- Completing the contact form on our website
- Calling or emailing our office staff
- Arranging an in-person property inspection or survey
- Confirming Your Booking
After reviewing your request, we will acknowledge the booking by email, telephone, or formal quotation. Service is considered confirmed only when we issue a written acceptance or invoice.
Property Access and Customer Obligations
By booking our services, you agree to:
- Supply clear, safe access to the premises,
- Tell us about any known hazards (asbestos, weak structure, etc.),
- Have someone over eighteen on site at the appointed hour,
- And refrain from entering treated or drying areas until we permit.
If you fail to meet these conditions, a rescheduling fee may be charged.
Service Delivery & Timeframes
We strive to conduct all inspections, treatments, and reports within the timelines we establish together. Nevertheless, delays can arise from:
- Unexpected structural difficulties
- Adverse weather
- Supply-chain disruptions
- Holds caused by third-party contractors
If such circumstances emerge, we will inform you promptly and collaborate to reschedule or amend plans as required.
Payment Terms
- All prices are quoted in GBP and include any VAT where applicable.
- Surveys typically attract a fixed upfront fee, which we deduct if you later book treatment.
- Treatments are secured by a deposit or, in some cases, full payment before work starts.
- Invoices should settle within seven days unless we have agreed a different timetable.
- Late payments may attract interest and can temporarily hold certificates or reports.
We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer
- Credit or debit cards
- Online payment link, when available
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule:
Surveys: Notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee
Treatments: Notify us at least 48 hours in advance
If cancellation occurs after the technician dispatch or a late notice is given, a call-out or cancellation charge may apply.
Reports and Certificates
Following any completed service, we can supply:
Moisture or damp survey reports
Timber condition assessments
Treatment guarantee certificates, where relevant
Each document reflects the building’s state at the moment of review. Subsequent shifts in moisture levels or structural behaviour may make a further inspection necessary.
Liability
Dampness & Rot (Glasgow) Ltd accepts no liability for:
- Any damage present before we arrived that is unrelated to the treated area
- Surfaces that we treat, but the owner then neglects or cleans badly
- Facts or measurements that the owner supplies that later prove to be false
- Cosmetic finishes such as paint or wallpaper, except when we expressly agree
In all cases, our total liability will not exceed the value of the contract or the area we treated.
Subcontractors
On occasion, Dimprot engages subcontractors to complete specific project tasks. Each subcontractor is rigorously screened and required to observe our health, safety, and quality standards.
Dampness & Rot (Glasgow) Ltd continues to bear full responsibility for their compliance and the overall quality of their work.

Customer satisfaction remains our highest priority. Should any part of our service fall short of your expectations:
Reach out to us without delay by telephone or email
Outline the concern in clear, detailed language
Permit our team to return to the site, if needed, to assess and address the matter
We commit to resolving each issue with professionalism and equity. If agreement proves elusive, you retain the right to escalate the matter to Trading Standards or the appropriate ombudsman.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delays or failures in service caused by events beyond our control, including:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Strikes or transport disruptions
- Pandemics or local lockdowns
